My artwork is currently on display as part of the Jackson Comics exhibition, running until October 25. Jackson Comics is the first comic book anthology created solely by Mississippi artists, featuring unique stories and artistic styles.
In a collaboration with Jackson Comics, I had the exciting task of illustrating scenes from Mississippi for their first issue, and my choice naturally gravitated towards the heartbeat of Jackson - the iconic Jackson State University band. This musical institution is more than a group; it's a cultural phenomenon, a living testament to the city's rich heritage.
Thank you to the Medgar and Mrylie Evers Home National Monument and the National Park Service for commissioning my work. The finished product was a visual homage to Black history and the enduring legacy of courage.
I have some exciting news! My work is currently on display at the Municipal Art Gallery in Jackson, MS. There's Always Hope for Tomorrow will be on display from May 4th - May 27th 2023.
Hi! It's a new year and I have a new illustration to share. I call this illustration, "Pets". I love birds and I have had my fair share of them. So, this piece was inspired by my love of parakeets.
I'm in the market for illustration representation! After analyzing my portfolio and my interests, I'd like to focus on Editorial, Fine Art, Picture Books, and Comic Books. This year, I created a flyer for #KidLitPostcardDay to market my efforts.
I'd like to invite you to sign up for my mailing to receive an illustrated Christmas card! Every year, I like to create a personalized Christmas card to send out to family and friends. It's such a pleasure to create a personal card that can bring people joy.
I graduated! On June 4th, I received my Master of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Thank you so much to every single person that sent me a congratulatory message. I am truly grateful.
