May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I wanted to spotlight mental health awareness in children with an illustration and a poem. The 2022 theme for Mental Health Awareness Month, according to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), is "Together for Mental Health."
Thank you to the Mississippi School of the Arts for inviting me to create and display a piece of artwork for the student Black History Art Show! It was an amazing experience and the artists work was absolutely fabulous!
